I met him on his India visit to AXA XL. As a member of his team & being part of the UK region, I was fortunate to be part of a lunch meeting with him. Instinctively I decided I wanted to be mentored by him. I took a leap of faith and just asked him If he would be willing to take me on. True to his style, he agreed on the condition that only if it was of my own will and not because I have been asked to by my manager.

“I first met Tim during my training days in Wroclaw, Poland in 2016. It was a very relaxing and easy-going conversation and a “gripping thought” advised to me by Tim, remained inside my mind. There are many qualities of a good mentor but first and foremost, Tim is enthusiastic and passionate, and he was open to helping me to be a better me!
In 2017, and on my first day of my new employment Tim gave me some ‘golden words’ of advice to help me as good pointers to learn to be steady as I kick-started my new role. The journey from this point in my career path was quite bumpy. It took a lot of energy to remain positive and the struggle was real. Fortunately, Tim’s encouragement was there to help me generate “new energy” so that I did not feel “stuck”. I found confidence in myself again. I started to understand myself better. What I should tolerate. I learnt to step up and move beyond my comfort zone. Most importantly, his value-added guidance comes with sincerity and a willingness to share his knowledge and experience, which made me feel extremely comfortable. I could not have made it through without Tim’s guidance.
After knowing Tim for 5 years, he is still an exceptionally good, patient, and active listener - even though we are 6,500 miles apart. He earns my respect every minute I spend talking to him.
